The World Record Return

On March 1st, 2012, Adam begin cycling from Ushuaia, Argentina to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska with a support crew.

Adam is going to set a World Record by cycling the Pan-American Highway in 100 days. The current record stands at 125 days, and Adam is going to beat it by almost a month!

Cycling with no bags attached to his bike, Adam will race close to 140 miles (224 Km) every day through 14 countries, 14 climate zones and over many mountain ranges.

He will cross the Atacama Desert, The Andes, The Rocky Mountains, the Sierra Madres, The Sierra Oriental, and more.

Cycling 14,000 miles in 100 days is the same as cycling 6 of “Le Tour de France” in the time it takes to cycle 5 of “Le Tour de France” but without any rest days.

What Adam is doing is truly an incredible feat.

The route takes Adam and the AfA team through Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, the U.S.A, and Canada.

Adam and his support team will stay in an RV for the duration of the journey and will be followed by a documentary crew. The documentary team and funding is currently a work in progress and anyone interested in investing in the documentary is advised to contact us here at AfA through the contact page.

During this incredible feat you will be able to follow the journey not only here on the official AfA website, but also on our official Facebook page and through new phone applications that will become available during the fall of this year.

Why set a record?
Adam’s goal with AfA is to raise as much money as possible for autism. This means coming up with creative ways to inspire people to give – and that’s exactly what the World Record will do. People like you are able to be a part of setting the World Record by purchasing a mile of the historic journey. By purchasing a mile you will not only be supporting those who have autism now, but you will also receive a signed photo from the day of your mile AND a certificate indicating your ownership of 1 mile of a World Record. Miles will be available for pre-sales during winter 2011.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
