Since the beginning of the journey, many people have asked the question: WHY AUTISM?  Here are the reasons why the Adventure is for Autism, and not for something else:

Adam has no connection to autism other than his age.  He wanted to do an journey for a cause and was searching for a cause that “fit”.  A college friend suggested that he do his ride for autism.  Not wanting to commit without doing his homework, Adam researched autism and found out several things.

First, Autism is growing at a comparable rate to cancer’s growth 20+ years ago.

Second, we don’t know what causes autism.

Third, we don’t know why it autism is growing.

Fourth, we are only beginning to understand how to treat it, sometimes.

 It is these reasons that made Adam decide to ride for autism.
